World Wetlands Day Reflection

Recently, UNDP published a global feature highlighting one of the SGP Bahamas projects completed by The Bahamas Mangrove Alliance, supported through a GEF SGP Strategic Grant. The feature was shared in observance of World Wetlands Day and showcases the power of community-led mangrove restoration in The Bahamas.

Special thanks to each member of the NSC for their continued support, which makes initiatives like this possible. SGP Bahamas remains committed to uplifting and supporting impactful community efforts, sharing these restoration stories with our brothers and sisters around the world.

Breaking News: We are saddened to learn of the passing of Hon. Vaughn Miller, Cabinet Minister and Member of Parliament, who transitioned at 3:00 a.m. this morning at Doctors Hospital.

We at Waterkeepers Bahamas extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, loved ones, and constituents. We first met through his service to the environment, and will remember him as a man of faith, conviction, and compassion.

He will be dearly missed.
