Waterkeepers Bahamas, your Grand Bahamas Coastal Waterkeeper patrols our waterways monitoring, collecting debris and gathering information regrading pollutants and derelict vessels.
Canal Clean Sweep is one of our Citizen Science Projects aimed to have our community involved in our goal of providing Grand Bahama with Swimmable, Fishable and Drinkable waters for all.
The island of Grand Bahama is filled with canal channels that have been polluted with a significant amount of debris. In our recent Canal Sweeps the following items have been discovered
